Re: [uaf-experiments] the upcoming ISR world days

We are about 3 days into the 2-week long campaign window. Since my previous note on March 10, we have been watching closely space weather prediction. It has been very quiet until today when kp reached 4 for two 3-hourly intervals. This level of activity was not my target so I decided to skip it. For the next a few days it seems to be still quiet with predicted low solar wind speed, low likelihood of  strong solar flares and  coronal holes facing the earth. So at this point I would not propose to start the campaign anytime this week; even Saturday is unlikely. 

Just give you some update on the campaign. In addition to the ISR community, our campaign is participated by a big observational network from East Asia Sector with digisonde, GPS, FPI, All-sky imager, HF and VHF radars, MF radars, MST radars, Meteor radars, Lidars, etc. Global digisonde network and some regional GPS TEC network are our partners as well  For more information, please visit http://merino.mit.edu
